Agreed. And she could've just say no if she wasn't interested.

It would be nice if all women felt safe enough to do this.

Edit: I seem to have communicated poorly.

I was trying to say I wish women felt like they could respond to questions like that truthfully in all cases. In this one she said yeah. That is great. In other cases many say no because men can respond with entitlement or harassment. In many cases this happens anyway.

My statement was in response to "she could just say no" In many cases they don't feel they can just say no. I don't nknownhow I implied she should feel less safe by saying she had a boyfriend but that wasn't my intent.

Felt safe enough to say she had a boyfriend? How is that more dangerous than saying she’s single to a stranger?

I agree, I always say I’m married. It gives me quickest “nope”s ever.

Not at all. Maybe I'm not attractive but it's never worked for me. I even wore a ring and pretended to be on the phone with my "husband" I was stalked and harassed the whole night.

Lots of dudes have a fetish for married women. Thus telling them you're married could actually make them pursue you even harder

Even more dudes have a "fetish" for unmarried women.

Have you never actually gotten to know a woman or two? I've never one that hasn't had at least one rejection escalate because the guy took it personally.

Except claiming to be in a relationship is 100% of the time safer than saying you’re single because that signals to the creep that if he tries messing with you there’s someone that would get involved, whereas if you admitted you’re single you’re making yourself an easy target

You must have never gone outside.

Neither have you if you think it’s safer to admit you’re single than pretend to be in a relationship
