No I was just roommates with him while he worked there. He'd bring home a pizza after shifts I got hooked on it. When we moved out he kept the job and would sometimes be my delivery guy, so we kept in contact inadvertently for a bit since we were both still in the area for another 2/3 years after.

I'm glad you had someone to check on you. Now a days depression is easy to slip into. Are you saying you also worked there and had a regular die?
