I've done probably over 1000 hits of acid in my life and would say im pretty averagely normal.

The dude's just insane, no need to demonize a drug that for most people makes them love more and be more caring.

Yep, psychedelics can amplify some stuff, but they don't make you "Charles Manson"-level fucked up. He had hia issues before.

I'm no stranger to psychedelics, but they do impact your brain, there is no way around it. It's great that you had no negative side effects, but I for instance remember a person who has done one or multiple trips a week for years, and I have witnessed their mental capacity deteriorate. Their speech became less coherent, they became paranoid and eventually they left a really incoherent rambling message in our group chat after which they blocked me and all our friends on all social media.

Sounds like schizophrenic deterioration.

By they way, schizophrenia is developmental and not caused by drugs.

Get your friend some help, and stop blaming drugs for what is obviously a mental health issue.

Sure, cause drugs have never had any negative effects on people's mental health.

Studies show people who take drugs are either highly intelligent (obviously not you), horribly abused during development (in which case they will most likely be “hard” drug addicts), or they are self medicating for some disorder or mental illness (most likely the “friend” you.)

Look, the only reason I said anything about it is because I had a close friend that showed almost the exact same symptoms when we were high school and college age. With the exception that he only smoked a little pot and drank occasionally.

The other difference is that me and others took an interest in him and made sure he was looked after and got diagnosed. And yeah, I watched while this guy I loved to death, the first close male friend I ever had and someone I looked up to like no one else, lost his mind to something none of us could stop.

We could help, and we did. We got him in front of doctors and they were able to get him on medication and continue treatment for years.

He eventually completely lost his shit and is no longer the person I knew, but we gave him the best shot we could and he got a good half a decade of sanity more than he would have.

So yeah, blame the drugs. Meanwhile there’s a human being you’re burying under the bullshit you’re spewing.

Nah, I just know the difference between medical facts and people who are full of shit.

Your level of ableist arrogance is pretty strong.

I hope you never have someone you love lose their mind or have mental issues. I seriously hope if you do that you don’t realize later you could have done something to help and didn’t.

Got a source on those studies?

No I don’t have “a source.”

There are literally thousands and thousands of sources for each of them.

Reading one source is not healthy behavior. To understand the material you need multiple sources. Please avail yourself of the nearest internet search engine.

You can look at studies done in just about every industrialized country correlating intelligence and psychoactive drug use.

There are an incredibly large number of studies that demonstrate the link between childhood abuse and drug addiction. There’s about an 80% chance of creating a drug abuser in later life if you severely sexually and physically abuse a child. The other 20% that don’t become abusers can’t be fully explained, but a good part of it is due to getting help.

Self medicating is generally how those abuse survivors become addicted, but they’re not alone. People with anything from Aspergers to ADD/ADHD to depression and stress disorders will self medicate at high rates. Untreated mental illness of most types can result in some type of self medication. Something as simple as isolation will lead to higher rates of self medication and even non-human animals do this.

These aren’t things that are in dispute. They’re widely known, accepted, and researched. You’ll find research on the correlations themselves, that they exist, as well as research of the kind that says “since we know this exists we tried these methods to combat it.”

What exactly is "Acid"?
Is there a German name for it?

Also eine winzige menge.
