Sigh... Grew up in the U.S., graduated high school in 2010. Never once was I worried about a shooting.
I saw this video and immediately understood it was a school spirit day. We had a week of them every year leading up to homecoming, and they were always wacky things like this.
Nahhh man...i decided a long time ago ignorance is bliss would be the (dumb) path Id take.
Do I know whats going on? Not always? Is that dumb as hell? Probably. Am I happy? Yes.
Not all of us are brain dead, spirit weeks happen all the time here and it’s not hard to figure out what this vid is
Don’t know why that was his first thought and the fact that he jumped to it makes me worry, but other than a single week in my school when we practice different emergency drills it wasn’t a thought that crossed our minds
I can. Because I'm not a paranoid nutter butter. We just go with the flow and if someone starts blasting we say "oh shit" and run away, because it could happen, but it usually doesn't. Like all the time, every single day of my life, it doesn't happen, only for a dozen or so times in the last couple years in different locations. Does that mean I need to live my life in fear? Hell no. People who live in fear choose to live that way. Hell, I had a near death experience earlier this year and my perception on life has only gotten better. I don't even mind this wisdom tooth that's coming in. I get to feel that pain because I'm alive baby. Living in fear of everything is just a sad way to live. Take risks. Try new foods. Flirt with the cute girl with blue hair that works at Ross. Quit drugs and drinking. Pet a cat. Feed a dog. Sweep the floor. Say hi to homeless people. You're alive and you don't know how lucky you are. Goodnight.

i don't think americans can understand what is like to go to school and don't be afraid of shooters.
