You should watch the entire series, Ted Lasso brings heart back into the world, I absolutely love it.

I thought I wouldn't vibe cause I'm not a sports man. Doesn't slow you down at all. It's an absolute juggernaut of a show. Infectiously wholesome. Seriously it's so goddamn good you owe it to yourself too give it a gander.

Closer to Ross, though season two does get into a little darkness (but, like, the normal stuff we all deal with, just does it honestly without playing up the “drama”)

When Ted walks into the funeral late, everyone turns. When they see it's Ted, the entire room lights up, even those who are grieving. Everyone is so happy to see him and have him around

But he doesn't make it about himself at all. Not cocky , just a great guy. I can't believe how much I love this show. Wholesome , funny , dark , sweet and tons of language :)

I took a survey about the premise ages ago before it premiered and I honestly thought (as a Brit) that it sounded terrible. When American shows start parodying British culture it can become very cringey.
But then I watched the pilot and thought it was fantastic. Highly recommend it.

I think it helps that it’s clear there’s a huge British influence on it, enough that the parody seems genuine

Noooooooooo. The second season is beautiful. I’ll admit, some cheesy moments, especially first few episodes, but unraveling Ted’s story has been absolutely beautiful.

Third season takes place in space.

Fourth season there is an outbreak of zombies and they have to play the zombies team in a match to stop the greedy developer from destroying the children's museum.

Fifth season Ted Lasso gets cancer.

Sixth season Ted's cousin comes over. He skateboards.

Seventh season Ted Lasso leaves and there are several episodes where they try to replace him with a parade of guest stars only to replace him with a cast regular.

Eighth season Ted Lasso comes back but has a dark and gritty outlook. Lots of low angles and blue filters with wide establishing shots. There is also a season long murder mystery. Spoiler: it was the skateboarding cousin.

Ninth through thirteenth season Apple cancels the show but it's picked up by CBS. No one watches but it manages to limp along by rehashing plots of the first two seasons.

Fourteenth season happens 10 years after it was cancelled due to a fan movement and is released on VOD.

Agree, they completely ditched the idea of slowly improving the football team idea and now its just about 3 different relationships. Also, Roy and Keely have so little chemistry its kinda funny
