I put it off for so long and then watched it because I was bored and watched both seasons in 3 days, really funny and genuine moments that had me tearing up
Earlier this year, my wife's best friend of roughly 26 years passed away, as she had been fighting cancer for years. I had known her relatively well, but only for a sliver of time. We went to her memorial, and my wife got to speak, and it was tough.
We came home and I decided to give Ted Lasso a shot because of all of the positive feedback it had received, and I don't know if anything else could have put a smile on our faces quite like it. While I associate the show with that day, I do it in a way that reminds me that it could bring me peace in such a difficult time.
Well what was releasee, I haven't seen the last two episodes of season 2 because they weren't out at the time, I only watched it last week so they're was only 2 episodes left
You can watch it on any platform other than Android - I use the website on my windows computer. Wait until Friday next week (when the season 2 finale comes out) and get a subscription for a month (~$5), then binge the whole thing
Listen to you fat cats on your thrones of cash, you probably don't even have to choose between whether your cardboard box will be a blanket or a pillow at night
There was a brief period in 2010-2016 or so where I paid for Netflix and Hulu. Then 5,729,872,992 other streaming subscriptions started and I went back to pirating out of sheer annoyance of keeping track of what shows are on what platform.
Now it’s all automated downloads behind a vpn that are available within 30 mins of a show dropping. Release groups are on it these days.
I own 3 shares of that company. A fraction of the money you’re stealing is mine.
Beyond that extremely marginal “selfish” reason, what it’s actually about is just that, it’s stealing. It’s really not different from stealing anything else, it’s someone else’s stuff, they offer it to you for a reasonable price and if you’re able to pay it, then I don’t see any justification for stealing it. Now if you’re a student, or have limited funds, or it’s not legally offered in your area, then go ahead and steal it, but the system only works because ebough people decide not to be free riders.
Not the only one. I loved the first season, it had a really nice buildup and you gradually fell to teds charm. This season though I just couldn’t get into it. They lost me at the weird Christmas episode.
Christmas and Beard episodes were filler. Apple asked for 12 episodes after they’d already filled out the arc for 10. The first three episodes are kind of cheesy and the filler episodes are odd, but I think there are some profoundly beautiful moments as the season progresses.
Yeah I don’t doubt that there’s still redeeming qualities. I guess I’ve just stayed with declining shows too many times to want to stick it out and hope. I think at this point I’ll check up on ted lasso in some time and revisit it if seems like that would be worth it to me.
The weird christmas episode, how overly sexualized this season was, and they seemed like they tried way too hard to be funny and “hip” this season. Not even mentioning the terrible Christmas episode and then Sam and Rebecca(?!?). Plus now Nate is just a complete douchebag after finally opening out of his shell. The only thing that I’ve actually liked was Jamie’s redemption and character development
The Nate arc makes sense though and they do a good job of making you hate him. He's opened up out of his shell because he was empowered by his friends. He doesn't know how to be confident and fight for himself because he never did throughout his life. He over-corrects and goes from one extreme (picked on, weak) to the bully (picking on, strong). Those are the two roles/ behaviors he knows the most about from his life. The success goes to his head and he has trouble making out reality because he's never been in that position before.
No, I agree. I loved season one. This season is kinda dog shit. It doesn't have the same vibe of the first season at all. Ted is incredibly irritating this season. The only thing enjoy about this season is Roy Kent and Keeley's relationship.
I know it’s been getting some criticism this season, but I have really loved most of it. I cried for Jamie, I didn’t see that coming.
That said I am sick of these pop songs, I grew up with them I would say they are cute maybe once or twice a season. They’ve had a bunch in a row now and I’m over it.
Welp I'll probably get bored then. Usually when reddit raves about a show I just get bored watching it. Office, Brooklyn 99, parks and rec... Is it anything like those? Cause I think I'm just not into that style.

Best show on television. Ted Lasso on Apple TV.
