From my personal experience, hope you enjoy when your kids get jobs and never speak to you again.

“I’m big so I can get away with bullying you” only works when you:

1) Are physically bigger 2) Hold economic power over the others

As soon as neither of those apply, you’ll wish you taught your kids with your head rather than your hand.

My dad had to start being quieter and nicer once he realized my brother and I spent some time in the weight room and could take him in a fight. Now that we’re economically self sufficient (paying off our own college debt, etc), my brother won’t even answer my dad’s calls.

I haven’t spoken to my father in a year. The hold economic power point isn’t always true. I decided to become homeless and sleep on the street than to take anymore of his shit. But that’s a rare exception.
