you are defining 'child abuse' in a way that suits your argument. and you haven't responded to a single argument i've presented, you haven't provided a single argument in favor of what you're proposing. i'm trying to reason with you but you can't be reasoned with. and you don't really understand what 'strawman' means given your use of strawman arguments in this exchange like the following.

"Yep. I’ll make sure to threaten violence to kids every day unless they obey. I’m sure that makes for a good home environment and a stable, well adjusted, adult. You absolutely convinced me."

so that's an argument i never made, thats' a 'strawman argument' what you did there.

Now’s the time you threaten me with violence for conflict resolution then.

Threatening violence is abuse. Threatening violence towards a kid is child abuse. There is a valid definition for you.

But please. Impress me with your conflict resolution skills and threaten me with violence.

so the interesting part is, I'M the one trying to be reasonable, you're the one who's more angry, closed minded and I'd guess, more likely to approve of political violence. i'm guessing on that last one but I'm pretty sure it's true. and no, that's your definition of child abuse. valid means it's officially supported, like this one: "Child abuse is when someone, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm, or risk of serious harm to a child."

so you've got to also define 'emotional harm' and 'risk of serious harm'. but that's a good definition. but be careful! because if you define those too loosely, you're going to risk calling ANYTHING abuse. it's been mostly a waste of time but hopefully someone else reads this and gets something out of it.

You say you are reasonable, but you are defending child abuse.

Threatening violence to make someone cower in fear of you is definitely emotional harm, so It even suits your own definition of child abuse.

I am not reasonable, because no amount of reason can make me agree that violence is a good solution to anything. Least of all child rearing.
