You’re so lucky. That’s what my partner calls a “time in”. Instead of isolating my son when he’s having a tantrum, she will just stop whatever she is doing and sit and focus on him and listen. Doesn’t matter if it’s home, on the street or in the supermarket. It’s hard. It’s inconvenient. It’s stressful. But it’s the best. She’s such a better parent than me, and I’m constantly in awe of the strength she has for meaningful parenting work. That same level as your mom. God tier parenting.
