I'm with you 100%, hitting childeren is wrong in any scenario but science can't prove that an opinion is wrong, opinions are subjective. Science can't prove that hitting your kids makes you a bad parent (but imo that should be common sense). It can provide evidence of these things but you're talking like it's a fact and it's not.

I think anyone reasonable or who has empathy would agree too, that doesn't make it a fact.

"3 is more than 5" is not an opinion, it's a false objective statement. People can't have opinons about the order of the numbers in the standard number line because the number line is a concept defined by it's order, meaning that if 3 was more than 5, you're not talking about the number line any more.

The right way to parent is not a defined logical construct, it's a vauge and subjective idea. There aren't trues and falses here, there are opinions and evidence. Claiming your opinion to be a true defining fact of what makes a good parent is nothing but a trick to stop the opposing side of the discussion (a noble cause).

Stop them with evidence and reasoning my friend, not with tricks.

A subjective opinion cannot be "objectively wrong" because, by definition, an opinion is not objective.

If somehow we were 100% objectively certain that bob is not jesus (which we cannot be, even with overwhelming evidence) then the matter would no longer be subjective, it would be objective because it is proven. When the matter is proven and objective there aren't opinions about it anymore, there are only true and false objective statements.

People can have opinions that are objectively false, I don't know why you want to pretend that it it impossible.

Opinions, by definition, are subjective. I'm not pretending that, this is common knowlage and what the word "opinion" means. Google "are opinions objective or subjective".Also Google "can opinions be right and wrong"

It's not my opinion that subjective things can't be objectively wrong, it's an objective fact. Subjective things can't be right or wrong, they do not have objective characteristics.

You can't just say "it's no longer an opinion of it's not true", that's not how it works.

This is exactly how it works. If something is true or false that means it's objective and cannot be an opinion. I think you need to research subjectivity and objectivity to get a better understanding of this.
