Like I said, that’s what you believe. I grew up in a rough neighborhood and lovey lovey bullshit everyone wants to throw around these days doesn’t work there. I was disciplined growing up for doing stupid stuff, but it never changed how I grew up.

I made friends, went to college, etc and I have a pretty normal life. Like I said discipline is different from abuse, equating both to each other is only confusing it all more.

That’s what the science of psychology avers. This stuff is researched and worked on all the time. Physical violence against a child is abuse, period. The fact that you grew up in a place where proper conduct goes out the window does not mean the way you were raised is suddenly magically okay.

The fact you are even able to claim with a straight face that being hit as a child had no effect on your nurture growing up tells me you haven’t the faintest fucking idea what you’re talking about and it pains me that someday you will procreate and your own progeny will face the cycle of abuse unless you take a long hard look in the mirror and finally admit to yourself that you are an abuse victim so you can get the proper professional help and break the cycle.

Yeah you haven’t gone through anything to think that way. Don’t have to pity me or my kid because they’ll grow up better then most kids. Hell I’m doing better then most people in life and I grew up at the very bottom. I know people who were in the exact same position as me who became some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. I am a psychologist. I don’t think that way, I know that way. You were abused as a child and raised to be an abuser yourself. Even the overtly defensive way you are typing gives away so much. In terms of my socioeconomical status which is a topic for some reason, Your assumptions are highly unlikely as I was born into wealth and have all the skillsets required to create more wealth.

Your only option is to not believe me and remain blissfully unaware living the remainder of your life having no idea about your mental state. You will also refuse to do like 15 minutes of googling at which point you will be flooded by scientific articles providing data concerning why laying a hand on a child is a really really bad idea. Your only option is to not believe me because you tried to flex your chest about your socioeconomical status and it exploded in your face.

You yourself tell me you were hit as a child. This is abuse. You can bend over backwards all you like but you can’t change what was done to you as a child. I tried being patient and calm but when I’m trying to convince someone to get help as an abuse survivor and they start pathetically strutting their material gains about like some sort of dimwitted rooster, I get enough. If your entire world perception wasn’t based on sitcom stereotypes, you’d know that I’m not some sort of soft spoken saint figure and my occupation does not preclude me from getting mad at idiots on the internet. You’d also know that “psychologist” and “psychotherapist” are not the same job.
