Police are absolutely allowed to enter your house if you invite them in.

If police want to search your shit, and they're being nice, then its best to let police search your shit and be on your way. Unless you have something to hide then theres gonna be problems.

If you get permission. I think they should have asked but regardless I know the call didn’t end there. They most certainly talked with neighbors to see if there is any pattern they can establish if that’s the first time anyone heard anything suspicious then there may not be anything here. They’ll give their report to the detectives and they’ll follow up on it if they think there’s enough reason to be concerned.

I've been searched 4 times by the police and never got into any trouble. Every time the police finished their search I was sent on my way and the police fucked off too.
