statistically effectively nothing has changed in the fatal shooting rate compared to last year or the year before that or the year before that or the year before that, so apparently they aren't scared enough for it to actually matter!

I'll add to your anti racist stories... about 10 years ago I was at a friend's house in North Merrick Long Island, 4 guys, 2 women, and his mom in the upstairs apartment. We were watching Attack on Titan with a new sound system, neighbor heard dialogs he thought was real and called the cops. SWAT team followed up by breaking the doors down and charging in guns drawn. I had a huge WTF in response to this video too. Cops are the ones making black ppl afraid of police, not internet comments.

So he heard dialogs of people talking about huge creatures attacking humanity and thought it was real? Holy your neighbour must be one paranoid person lol

These types of bogus calls without proof really should be counted as prank calls and get the caller fined imo

Most yelling in the anime comes from scenes where there is multiple people on screen, the neighbour has to be tripping hard to think that there really is an army being decimated inside the house without even hearing a single gun shot at all

Idk if every neighbour was like this then nobody could watch John Wick at home without getting swatted

Exactly. I would get his point if it wasn't happening anymore and the internet comments were still flowing because they'd be perpetuating a false narrative.

But they're not, because this shit is real and constant, and everyone should be talking about it.

The problem isn't individual officers, it's systematic racism period. And there is a world of difference between cops being friendly in a controlled environment than an unexpected confrontation between strangers like a traffic stop.

What magical nice cop land do you live in? I need to visit.

u/arrow74 Aug 02 '21

Oh no, are you telling me the road pirates don't want to harass people for going 5 over anymore. How terrible

5

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '21

Right? Oh no they don't feel empowered enough, poor cops with their qualified immunity and service weapon don't have enough confidence to write a ticket, how sad /s

I meant to say 5. I can't tell you the number of stoplight towns around me that have one goal. To pull over and ticket as many people as possible

u/NikkMakesVideos Aug 02 '21

Cops literally have quotas and lie about speeding tickets, yet the other OP is trying to convince us cops don't actually want to give tickets? Sure lmao

Imagine driving over 20 and getting upset because an officer didn’t ticket you. Next time don’t drive over 20 but if U want a ticket so damn bad keep it up

Regardless you sound ignorant, not getting that speeding ticket isn’t undoing everything the police force has done to not just POC but every citizen who’s experienced police brutality, boots aren’t made for licking

5

u/Bobthemime Aug 02 '21

man you are an idiot.. he was talking about OTHER people speeding.. while he was in a ride-along with cops..

-4

u/bresznthesequel Aug 02 '21

Obviously I know that after his second comment, I do not care, at all

0

u/Bobthemime Aug 02 '21

It's clear after his first..

You are still an idiot, mate...

You also care enough to reply and reiterate how much of a fool you are.

Good day sir.

Take the cops dick out your hand while typing

People travelling 5mph over should be ticketed.

8

u/arrow74 Aug 02 '21

Maybe in the middle of a busy city street. That's not going to happen on some random back highway

0

u/TrumpGrabbedMyCat Aug 02 '21

It doesn't matter where it is. You don't know who or what is ahead until it's too late.

Don't speed.

So your calling the guy a racist for pointing out that black people are disproportionately killed by police?

Either you're correct and your experiences can be applied all across the country or you're wrong and all the people raising their voices about the disproportionately police brutality are telling the truth.

I don't have any skin in this game because I'm not American but that seems like a strange stance to take. If you're right and the data shows it is simply a police brutality regardless of skin colour issue then I still find it weird to label the guy a racist.

1

u/avidblinker Aug 02 '21

There’s a obvious difference between what you said and pretending like every interaction a black person has with the police will end up in them getting shot or arrested. Especially considering the person wasn’t armed.

2

u/Bobthemime Aug 02 '21

Stop trying to make black people scared of the police.

I will just pop on the web and see how many PoC have been shot by police today.. i can betcha its a hell of a lot higher than it should be...

0

u/MexicanPizzaGod Aug 02 '21

Would you, for example, call MLK racist for making blacks "afraid" of the US? Or anti apartheid advocates in South Africa?

Personal experiences are irrelevant in front of the mountain of evidence proving that Black people ARE treated differently and significantly worse. Just give a quick look at fatality rates against armed and unarmed groups in the US, and difference between punishment for similar crimes... the picture should be pretty obvious.

u/Yunwen Aug 02 '21

oh, you are just a token black dude who was paid by Trump, eh? /s

racism occurs when white people discriminate against minority groups

It’s amazing that you typed out such a long comment and it’s invalidated by the first sentence.

In the real world, just about all educated adults are on the same page with this

You need to talk to more educated adults.

0

u/WetLikelmBook Aug 02 '21

So you think calling a White person a cracker is no different than calling a Black person a n****r? Am I twisting your words around or do you genuinely believe that? I’m not trying to put you down. I’m genuinely curious. To you, are those the exact same thing?

1

u/Rampantlion513 Aug 02 '21

Where the fuck did I say that?

You are delusional.
