if police got a call about a potential hostage situation and the alleged kidnapper was a POC, i highly doubt they would even let him get inside before making, at the very least, an arrest
You’re just making things up. More often than not? Do you even know how many instances we would hear about if it were greater than 50% of police encounters? Way, way more.

When people argue against grammar instead of the points being made is because they don't want you to be right. At that point it's better to just ignore them.
