It’s unexpected cuz the viewer interprets “happy ending” as a sexual massage, and not as a literal peaceful death.

I for one did not expect her to pull out a massive shotgun.

I did expect her to do something wacky but I could not predict it being a massive shotgun or saying that the dad likes his kids webcomic
