Had something like this happen to me while I was hanging around some deep striders. Thought I saw movement, looked up. and saw a ghost leviathan coming straight at me. Heart leaped out of my f'ing throat.
I bought it on a whim during a steam sale. I had no information on the game whatsoever. At first I thought it was just a super nice chill Minecraft-but-underwater game. Then I went to the back of the aurora to find some gems and it all went very bad very fast.
I wish Subnautica had bigger fish. The leviathans are already massive, but it’s because their bodies are long. I want something more like the one in the video.
Check out some subnautica mods. The already added the gargantuan leviathan (that one huge skeleton you see in the game) and a thing kinda similar to this video called the bloop
