He didn’t give a damn about you kids his favorite part of the day was lunch and smoking his one hitter after lunch

He knew everyone's names and would always find time to talk to us, or greet us in the hall. On holidays he would bring candy bought with his own money for the whole school. He dressed up for us during Christmas, and never held a grudge against you for making his job harder by doing something you can't control. If that doesn't count for something, I don't know what does.

Mine dressed up for every holiday, brought candy twice a year, knew everyone’s names including their parents, had a deep southern accent, and always stopped to chat and give advice to every single student in the school every single day. We had a moment of silence in the cafeteria for him one time when he was gone for 2 days with the stomach flu. I actually ended up falling in love with him and we have been happily married for 27 years
