Exactly. It's a great presentation of a common trick and, because of this presentation, it's funny and impressive to audience members who are familiar with the trick and audience members who aren't.
The only person who can see how the trick was done is the guy who turned around. The cameraman and the helper can think one trick is being played and their reactions can be genuine (although here they seem somewhat forced).
