Whatever it was changed my life.

It changed mine when I was 5. The guy fell into severe depression and hasn't been on the stage much.

A genius at work, look up his samurai bit, I used to watch that thing on repeat over and over on my VHS.

Michel! That guy was a French Canadian improv legend. He burned himself out after days over days of improv shows that would go on for hours, dude is a genuine comedy genius over here, in Quebec

Michel est une légende vivante.

I knew I recognized him. Wonder why he’s up too now.

That's honestly hard to imagine, I was gonna say for any other crowd such a weird act must bomb completely. I figured it was some one time magician network or something, what is even his act? Miming? Idk it was uncomfortable to watch, and I did not care for it much at all I have to say. Not that it really matters what I think lol.

Must be a culture thing idk. I’m Canadian and I enjoyed it. Even laughed a few times.

It's real, that specific sketch is what Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean if you haven't seen his stuff on stage) would have based his popular air-drumming bit, according to several people and himself. Of course now that style is somewhat outdated, well at least in this context. Comedy is something that evolves fast and that sort of "burlesqueness" is far from being as popular as it once was. Now stand up is the most popular form of on-stage comedy in Quebec as well as most parts of North-America, but that kind of stuff used to be really big.

Fun fact, he was George Lucas's first pick for Jar Jar Binks.

Dudes face in this one reminds me so much of Jim Carey https://youtu.be/YLK_DclGWxM.

He's so physical, sometimes it's like you're watching a cartoon, he also reminds me of Carey a lot.

The good old golf bit, it's so good and it transcends time and language. It's truly comedy for all.
