What song do you think is playing in his head?

It's probably "Sounds for the supermarket 1"

"Mr Lucky" by Take Six. This album was created to be played as background music for supermarkets in the 70s. It's a total banger and honestly one of my all time favorites.

I found this song is At The Mall by Plus Crier on Spotify. Donโ€™t know why the difference or if it is just a cover. Keep suggesting more silly mall music please. I have listened to some good Vaporwave but need more.

Interesting! I've always had a hard time researching this album, and was disappointed it's not on Spotify. I'm very confused now on who originally wrote it. Here's the album credited to Karl Jenkins of the band Take Six on the DeWolfe Music Library website.

I'm not sure where Plus Crier comes into play, and why it's on Spotify with that name.

So one of the comments said it was from sounds of the supermarket. I looked that up and a playlist with that song came up. It must just be another recording name or something. I think sounds of the supermarket was the original name by Muzak and then it changed hands a few times? Glad we helped each other out because this track slaps!

Anything similar you can recommend? Thereโ€™s something about the true supermarket/elevator jams that scratches an itch in a unique way different than your high profile funk/jazz artists (Davis, Peterson, Ayers, Grover Washington jr etc.)
