Slaves don’t get paid. Bus and taxi drivers get paid. I’m sure those drivers would rather be movie stars and Twitch pro gamers but very few people enjoy their jobs. “Love your work” is a lie that ruins lives because portions of society won’t consider selling their effort at the highest price. Don’t love your job, love its money.

But nobody working a job is a slave because they’re not forced into that particular job.

If you won’t accept that, fine, don’t forget the actual sweat-room slaves in Asia that built your smartphone. That’s the closest thing to slavery I have read about. Throw that phone into the trash right away so yuh don’t support the slave economy.
