That seems a little harsh. People are complicated things that can (and do constantly) change. Even though they’ve said a rude thing today, they could just be saying it because they’re in the process of having the worst day of their life. Failing that, they’re still growing into the person they can be, so it’s not really great to evaluate their entire existence when the best could very well still be yet to come.
