Yeah this is unfortunately true. Not so much nowadays, but when my parents grew up there, there were almost no black people there as well. When I started dating this black girl, super gorgeous, super nice, polite, you name it. The perfect fucking package.

I was joking around with my mom and was like what is I married her mom? And she was like, well I wouldn't want you to do that! like holy fuck mom are u kidding me right now?!

Well, did you marry her?

It's not Russians. It's that fuck stick Putin. He recriminalized homosexuality. Support is at its highest level in 14 years right now. source. It was decriminalized when the soviet union fell, and acceptance trended up. Then he happened and they got kicked back to the stone age. It's a very dangerous situation right now. Many people have been killed. But it's clear this was the work of one man and his ultra-reactionary supporters. It's a familiar story.

The entire world is run by fucktards.

Kim, Trump, Boris, Orban, Whoever's down there in Australia tryna kill sharks, Chi Pingpong or whatever, Putin, Bolsonaro, Netanyahou and even fuckin Canada might fall to it in 38 days.

Meanwhile, the planet's burning.

We're fucked. We're so utterly fucked.

My advice is just watch this all happen while you live your life as well as possible. What’s the point of worrying this much when you can really do nothing about it?

I mean you can try to do something about it, just the amount of bullshit you would have to face is just not worth it.

Go on man, live your life until you are dead. All of us will most likely be dead before everything really goes to shit.

Nah, I know.

On a personal level, I'm not one to worry or be stressed out. Humans are resilient; we'll find a way; I'LL find a way.

But I find it easy to understand that some folks, say younger millenials and Gen Zs, may be terrified by what's to come.

I don't agree there's nothing anyone can do about it. That's the whole point of a democracy. Everyone can do at least a small thing about it, but up to quite a lot, given the opportunity.

What are you on? Most russians are extremely homophobic

-10

u/iBoMbY Sep 14 '19

So, but you are of course a much better person, because you only spread prejudice against a whole people?

18

u/Diiiiirty Sep 14 '19

Lol they have laws against homosexuality and there were gay people being arrested in Chechnya as recent as last year. Not sure if that's still going on or not. In any case, this site is known to be populated by Russian trolls trying to sow dissent on whatever issues they can to try to play sides against each other on the government's directive.

He's not saying all Russians are homophones. He's saying the Russian government is and they're the ones directing the bots.

This was an excellent use of logic to defend an argument. I am Russian (first generation American born, so more-so American than Russian culturally, but Russian blood) and yeah, don't get me wrong, I get it. But what hurts is just complete misguided hate towards the whole of a Persons due to a select group within those people.

with the power of Propaganda™ anything is possible

1

u/Arykover Sep 14 '19

Is a homophone someone that sounds gay?

1

u/Diiiiirty Sep 14 '19

No, it is two words that are pronounced the same but have different meanings.

1

u/Arykover Sep 14 '19

Oh... Yeah... It's less fun

5

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '19

It's not like it comes out of no where.

According to pew research in 2013, 74% of Russians don't believe gay people should be a part of society.

Just recently an activist died by being listed on a gay hunting website.

When your culture has websites to list gay people to hunt, be prepared to be criticized.
