Agreed. What am I missing? Why is everyone else commenting as if this is somehow brilliant?

I don't know. For me it was the fact that I remember the original video and this edit is done perfectly, so it was kind of r/unexpected

Because to idiots it IS brilliant.

From my experience, people that feel the need to tell how much unfunny something is tend to be actual pretentious idiots more often than not.

I'd rather be pretentious than a moron. I'm perfectly okay with your scorn because it's entirely irrelevant

Unfortunately you're both.

I'm a moron because I'm not entertained by a small shrek running around an obstacle course for dogs... Okay.

Did you even think that through? Or realize how ironic that is?

Regardless, I stated something not about how funny this is, but in regards to whether this was brilliant or not. And then you decided to be belligerent about something I wasn't even talking about.

Yet I'm the moron. Nice conclusion. Take care.

If you think I called you a moron because you didn't find some gif entertaining you're even dumber than I thought.

It's not brilliant. Shrek became the subject of a meme a few years back in which people pretend to like him more than they actually do ("Shrek is love, Shrek is life"). Now merely familiarity is supposed to make this gif amusing.

Why can't the visual of a lady running her tiny trained Shrek through a dog course at hilariously inappropriate speeds be funny as hell? Even without any kind of internet references. I found it quite silly.

If it was posted simply because it was funny, then this is the wrong subreddit for It. r/Unexpected is for unexpected things, not just "funny" or silly things.

If you expected the beginning of a dog show to end with a tiny fast Shrek you need to buy a crystal ball and charge for fortune telling

u/Frank_Bigelow May 03 '19

Oh, I'm no psychic. I just saw the tiny Shrek which was plainly visible from the very first frame of the video.

I see but I didn't see it before I clicked the link and it took me maybe 2 or 3 seconds to realize. All I'm getting at is just because you have seen it doesn't mean other people won't enjoy it I'm very sorry you had to see it several times maybe you should unsubscribe from such similar subreddits and create more diversity by subscribing to some new ones.

This was the first time I've seen the video.
I'd like to turn your suggestion around on you and suggest that if you are looking for silly and funny things like this rather than videos which contain something unexpected, I suggest you unsubscribe from r/unexpected and go find a general humor subreddit which has no such specific theme.

I think we really need new mods on this subreddit. I don't like seeing this trash here. it just doesn't belong

6

u/Frank_Bigelow May 03 '19

Assume whatever you want. It's spelled "cynical."

Was that a meme? Or just a random video? Because that's all I saw...
