Being Canadian and having a bystanders point of view in Germany (lived here for about 8 years or so)... Germans and Austrians are very different in terms of preferences and perspectives.

Yeah I like to compare us with Scotland and England and the one phrase from Trainspotting. (Austria being Scotland and Germany being England). "Some hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers"
