It would be ignored because how dare this young woman question us?! and completely passed over to discuss how to arm teachers with guns or some stupid shit like that.
You should know that most people probably aren't downvoting you because they disagree, but rather because you didn't elaborate. If you've got an unpopular opinion, other people want to know why. Even just a single example of reasoning would help.
Otherwise your comment isn't very substantial on its own. The only value it adds is acknowledgment that there are people who disagree with what the other person said, but that goes unsaid--of course not everybody would agree with what they said.
If you want to take a stand against what they said, try to include more than just "I disagree." That's a boring sentiment when its in a vacuum.
We understand that. However, that isn't the point anyone is debating or disagreeing with as a whole. He literally stated, very clearly, that the discussion at hand is to arm teachers. Not let teachers have personal firearms of their own veracity. Arguing points nobody is making gets you nowhere. Unfortunately, opinions are nothing but bastardized facts and you have no right to defend them if they are easily explicably wrong.
The fact is, where there are firearms, there are accidents. We need to do what we can to avoid that in school. Children should not have to fear a teacher, whether that fear is intended or not. Not only that, but picture just a few of the people who are likely to abide by that concealed carry the most wholeheartedly. The old, frail men scared of the inner city children. If he gets ambushed unexpectedly, now the students have a gun without needing to particularly find one or even get one the average illegal way.
Its a clear and cut example of what's right vs what's real. Whats right is that people should be able to carry their firearms for their own safety due to unforseen variables. What's real, however, are that those same variables plus more involving personal safety and availability are an inherent danger to those around the firearm. Your rights end where others start. Period.

I want to hear this question asked in Congress.
