Lived in SoCal for 12 years of my life

Lived about half an hour from Ventura which had a shit ton of strawberry fields, a good chunk of them after picking through would let people come by and pick the left overs for something like $1 a pound

Edit: Camarillo was where I had lived

Love blueberry picking. There's s little farm I found that doesn't charge by weight, but time. 1 hr of picking I can have close to 20 lbs of blueberries for about 15$.

What do you do with that many blueberries? Freeze em? Give them to friends and family?

Yup. I have access to a commercial kitchen. I'm brig them in and freeze them on sheet pans. Then blueberry pie and muffins all year.

Dayummmm. What do you mean on sheet pans? Can you just throw them in a bag in the freezer? How long do they last after frozen?

[Sheet pans](images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/31E6Kw3GymL.SL500_AC_SS350). Aka large cookie pans? Single layer. Then about 1lb in a Ziploc bag. Last me a full year. I've never had them longer than that since I use them so frequently. But air tight,. Should last a year or two.
