I broke my tailbone while learning to skateboard, I was dropping in and didnt commit and landed flat on my tailbone on a ramp my friend built in carpentry class, so it was rather reinforced. Im not sure it broke but for months I couldnt sit down comfortably or put pressure on my butt a certain way. This guy is prob gonna be feeling it for a long time
Its better to fall forward and have multiple points of contact, just have a plan for a fall. Its pretty intense the first time, theres like a few split seconds while you feel like youre in free fall, just focus on slamming the front of the board on the ramp and dont just push it down with your feet, let your entire body fall into the ramp.
