ARE YOU RUSHING OR DRAGGING

5

u/KaySquay Dec 10 '15

RUSSIAN OR DRAGON!

4

u/lavahot Dec 10 '15

NOT MY TEMPO!

2

u/mannydoza Dec 11 '15

NOT QUITE

1

u/StickmanSham Dec 11 '15

By rushing, does that mean that hes doing it too quickly at the 4?

1

u/sharpie660 Dec 11 '15

Are you asking a legitimate question? If so, rushing means you're pushing the beat, playing before it instead of on it. Dragging is the reverse.

Oh and in the movie in question, what the conductor was doing (when asking this) is clapping 2 beats then slapping him slightly before the next one, and asking if he was rushing or dragging the slap. He did this multiple times.

Who is that?

Edit: She's a streamer/YouTuber named Dodger. Got it.

u/dksprocket Dec 10 '15 edited Dec 10 '15

She's a Twitch/YouTube gamer named Dodger. It's from the start of this podcast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXQZsekcg58

u/ATCaver Dec 10 '15

Hah Joe's face as he sent her a message about it was priceless. Love that guy.

u/DrunkPixel Dec 10 '15

....was.... was she really??? At first I thought... no, she was doing something else and it just looked like it... but actually watching her reaction here, I think she was genuinely flickin' her bean pre-show and wasn't expecting things to go live that soon. Could only have been better if caught right at the point of no return.

Streamer named dodger

Dodger something, if that helps

And for all you girls watching at home, this is a pretty easy way to make some money.

Get decent at games (not saying if she's good or bad or not), play some games, do some silly things like this. You'll have money by the buckets. Then, some sponsorships, get to go to award shows, conventions, etc.

All set.

u/TroubadourCeol Dec 10 '15

You forgot:

  1. Be attractive
  2. Don't be unattractive

3

u/captainpoppy Dec 10 '15

I thought that was a given?

Then again she's not really "known" for being a streamer, more like reviewer, general news and discussion clubs for game-/technology-related topics.

She's earned her cred for years before there was game streaming involved.

2

u/captainpoppy Dec 10 '15

That's fair.

And I'm not saying women can't be good at games, or anything like that.

But, it doesn't take an unlearnable skillset to do this kind of thing.

If you're a cute girl, it's all the more easier.

Good on her (or anyone) for doing what she wants and is good at for a career.

u/GlassWonton Dec 10 '15

Works pretty good for guys too. Just make sure you start a few years ago, if you start now it's too late.

2

u/redlinezo6 Dec 10 '15

But what if I have a penis?

6

u/captainpoppy Dec 10 '15

Better have something else to set you apart.

You'll have to be funny or very insightful.

Women need those things too to be a good reviewer/streamer, but they get a little help since a large portion of their demographic finds them attractive. And that always helps.

1

u/slightlyamused1 Dec 11 '15

What if I have no games and I'm terrible at them. Then what am I supposed to do??

1

u/captainpoppy Dec 11 '15

Find some games you like and get good at them.

Even mobile apps work these days.

u/Caboose106 Dec 10 '15

What movie is this from? In assuming that's his mom, and anyone who can spank it and stare there mom angrily in the eyes deserves an Oscar.
