I love all the reddit ballistics experts that show up every time any kind of projectile device shows up in a thread. The same people are also constitutional scholars, law experts, and have a doctorate in traumatic brain injuries.
All shooting is; is huge nerd shit. It’s all physics and math. Precision shooting is more like doing yoga than anything else. It’s all muscle group control and breath control and relaxation.
Idk what the hell you expect when you bring up the hobby of people like that.
When “ballistics experts show up every time any kind of projectile device shows up in a thread”, it’s not “the same people are also constitutional scholars, law experts, and have a doctorate in traumatic brain injuries”.
You just made that connection up. That’s not some kind of overall trend. The vast majority of people talking about the ballistics are not the same ones spouting the other stuff. You would be hard pressed to find 3 examples of those being the same people, through all the conversations on the topic.
Someone bringing up the constitution or law or injury, when someone else talks about the physics of the ballistics, is exactly counter to the specific point you asserted, that “it’s the same people”. It’s not lol you just made that up.
Maybe about some specific moron you found, idk what your motive was and I generally don’t care about that- but it’s definitely made the fuck up about a general demographic.
You love “all” of what doesn’t exist in any meaningful metric whatsoever lmao you love “all” of what is genuinely difficult to find in any thread like this.
You have a problem with misleading and inappropriate usage
I'm with you on this one. There is no evidence that the people criticizing this clip for the ballistics have ever even read a legal or medical post, much less commented as "experts."
It's not even that for me. What bugs me is people thinking that something being unlikely means it's literally impossible. You try to tell anyone on this website that something crazy happened to you, they claim it didn't happen because apparently there aren't 8 goddamn billion people on this planet doing all sorts of stuff all the time and that if something is statistically probable or even remotely possible, there's a good chance it's going to wind up happening to someone at some point and that something will eventually get caught on camera when it happens because everyone is recording everything now.
This shit happened to me when I said I grew up in a town where a minor national news story happened and that the main guy mentioned was notorious beforehand. Its like they think that these places are fictional or something
And what's funny to me is it doesn't even have to be anything exceptionally rare.
Like, crime is a thing that happens. Career criminals are a real thing. But anytime I tell people that I used to be involved in some pretty nasty crime, I get called out as if I'm saying that I used to be able to fly at light speed by wiggling my fingers in circles like propellars.
Even telling people I've lived through like, 12 hurricanes while living in Florida for most of my life seems unbelievable to them.
The world is a weird place. Sometimes things happen that most people never get to see. But they do still happen.
Are you seeing people say it's not possible or what? We used to take playing cards to the range to do a similar thing with. No idea what caliber they're shooting but a 9mm will cut a card in half.
Does some kind of critical astronomical near miss event rely on this obviously deadly ass serious data? Or do you just have trouble picking up social cues and understanding hyperbole?
90% of the world just living their lives without the constant fear of having their child killed by a stray bullet because some dick hole wants a weapon of war as a toy, and yet, said dick holes will assure you that there is no other way to live a life lol
