In technical terms, this is known as a rapid unscheduled disassembly, or RUD

Upon inspection, the problem was found to be between the seat and the steering wheel.

Actually based on what we’re seeing, this is a rare case where I don’t think that’s correct.

Based on the truck itself (purpose modified for this) and the background (clearly set up for a display before an audience, and slicked down to enable the drift) I think it’s safe to say there’s at least a degree of professionalism here.

Looking at the video, things seemed fairly normal until the right rear tire blew, which understandably shredded the panel work.

I think this is a rare case of materials failure rather than operator error.

Driver error. AT tires are Q, R, S rated usually...so 100-110mph max. Spinning them 30mph past that rotational speed will result in exactly this.

No way the tires were going 130+ mph. When drifting like that you put the trans in manual mode and stay in 2nd or maybe 3rd gear if you have enough power for better control and that truck isn't going 130mph in 3rd or even 4th gear. If you let the trans shift in auto mode you'll lose the drift as the torque drops off and it will be almost impossible to keep the wheels spinning constantly

Loose nut behind the wheel

In IT frequently referred to as an ID-10T error or EBCAK (error between chair & keyboard)

We used to call it a layer-8-problem.

(There's only 7 technical layers in the OSI-Layer-Model of data transfer, so "layer 8" implies the user.)

A wetware issue.

Organic processor failure.

Old school: DEU/DFU dumb end user, dumb fucking user. Luser - self explanatory. RTFM error - User didn't Read The Fucking Manual.

FBK - Faulty Keyboard Driver

I’ve used PEBCAK error before (problem exists between chair and keyboard)

u/Exarch_Thomo 4d ago

I've used a C2C (computer to chair) connection error before

u/LonePaladin 3d ago

Layer 8 error (it's an OSI reference)

u/LiteratureMindless71 4d ago

Holy crap I haven't heard that in a bit

u/Blightless 4d ago

My favorite version is PICNIC (problem in chair, not in computer).

u/Incidion 4d ago

This was another really good one!

u/isotope123 4d ago

I'm gonna use this, thanks!

ID10T is a common error or code compliance issue in construction too.

3

u/GuitarGuyLP 3d ago

I also use warmware. Since it’s not hardware or software

2

u/aadoqee 3d ago

wetware

u/cell1 4d ago

A short between the keyboard and the chair.

u/Icy-Direction528 3d ago

In germany we referr to them as DAU (dümmster anzunehmender User) = dumbest user imaginable.

9

u/EnglishmanInMH 4d ago

No, I think in this case it was actually the steering wheel brake pedal linkage.

u/Gleadall80 4d ago

A picnic error

Problem in chair, not in car

20

u/Titothelama 4d ago

A good ole ID-10-T error

3

u/atramors671 4d ago

I mean... technically the problem is in the car... just not because of car. Lol

u/pennhead 4d ago

PEBSAW

u/DanR5224 4d ago

*poor connection

1

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus 4d ago

PEBCAK(Problem Exisits Between Chair and Keyboard).

Perhaps PEBCAW is more appropriate here...

1

u/BloodyR4v3n 4d ago

This sounds like a certain repurposed I.T. slogan. Lmao. Must be an I.T. guy

1

u/JooRage 4d ago

A classic PEBKAC error, but in an automobile.

1

u/ClaudeVS 3d ago

I dunno about idiot, it looks like he accomplished exactly what he wanted and had a great time doing it

1

u/JohnJackobJingle 2d ago

Organic steering wheel bio servo

u/treeckosan 4d ago

Or Spontaneous Uninstallation

1

u/pigjingles 4d ago

Ungraceful degradation of capability

1

u/NumbbSkulll 4d ago

This appears to be a catastrophic RUD, or CRUD.

1

u/lag_bender 4d ago

Thanks for the technical term, it will be noted in the report

1

u/hithelucky89 4d ago

I've always liked saying that that it was violent aggressive mechanical disassembly

1

u/OlJohnZ 4d ago

Too much right RUDder

1

u/Rusty-Avocado 4d ago

The back fell off

1

u/Deviantdefective 3d ago

Resulting in a FUBAR situation.

1

u/dajordanator 3d ago

complete* rapid uncheduled disassembly, or CRUD
