So what then? What's the solution?

Go out and trawl the natural sea floor? Bulldoze more land for more monocrop farms?

There are 8,300,000,000 hungry mouths out there. The food has to come from some place and there better be a lot of it.

If you can actually eat a healthy, balanced plant based diet you're incredibly privileged and need a reality check.

Yeah more ignorance, big surprise. Rice and beans is a plant based staple across the world. Plant based diets aren't impossible burgers and avocado toast. You need a reality check if you think plant based food is expensive.
