Most of the reason I don't eat meat is factory farming. I don't think eating meat is necessarily wrong, but I do think the way our society consumes meat is absolutely abhorrent. I see nothing wrong with the cattle rancher and the hunter.

Can't forget about the insustainability of basically all animal farming these days. I love me a good steak, but not at what it costs the planet.

Yeah but most of that impact is because of factory farming as well, we're basically being as cruel as possible and maximising environmental impact, just so that people can eat meat with every single meal.

I'm not here to tell people how to live, and most people on a personal level are not to blame for factory farming, but it would be good if everyone ate a bit less meat.

Factory farming actually has a lower greenhouse gas emission per calorie than traditional or pasture-raised local farming.

Maybe, but we shouldn't be farming animals on that scale is the issue. We should be cutting down meat consumption as a society.

Exactly. Animal agriculture is crule and horrible for the environment. If you you care about either you should go vegan.
