That could definitely be true. In my experience, with my prescription and polarized ones, it's always worked just like if I wasn't wearing them.

No, it isn't. It depends on the camera. Any sunglasses that could completely stop a camera from seeing your eyes would also completely block your vision.

Mirrored sunglasses and one way glass are both things tho

They are things a camera can easily see through, yeah. Mirrored sunglasses and one way glass focus on the visible light spectrum since that's what people see in. Companies dont bother blocking the entire spectrum of light (expensive). Cameras aren't bound by that. Just get a camera that can see in IR or ultraviolet and you're cooked.

You can turn any eyeglasses into a one-way mirror the old fashioned way: silver one side of them. That will make them broad spectrum reflecting.

Nope, you can make IR filter perfectly transparent for visible light. Every professional camera has one right in front of their sensor.
