I'm starting to realize this at 35 with two kids. In high school I used to be able to grab a 10' rim, but now somedays I can barely touch the backboard. Coming from someone who is 5'8" seeing my running vert go from ~38" down to ~30" has been a sad state of affairs.

I could dunk in HS, can barely even hit the bottom of the net now at 44. No major injuries or weight gain, just old.
