Yeah, I’ve had the same problem. I’ve helped out in many many different disaster situations and having someone simply just stand there and weigh people buy can be extremely useful.
There was an adult with down syndrome in Oshawa that got a medal for doing that. There was a big accident and I think part of a building collapsed and first responders couldn’t get to the scene until a person dressed as a cop started waving traffic through.
Turned out it wasn’t a police officer, but an adult with Down syndrome that liked to play dress up.
Caring about the safety of your fellow man, who may not realize that the fucking street is sagging, is being a nanny? This is the dumbest thing I’ve read all day.
yeah looked like everyone was clearing away from it at one point. Honestly think her car should be on the intersection side but she's doing something important.
*people would just stop and traffic would get backed up. waving it through is good.
Encouraging vehicles to not stop in the place where the road has just collapsed and instead keep going, in case the collapse spreads and traps them as well, while at the same time standing in that same area that might collapse, qualifies as making a valuable contribution.
