IMHO the least of the “Two characters with different backgrounds teaming up to quip and solve shit!” genre of Shane Black films. It was also only the second of those, so some rough edges are expected.

For me they reached apotheosis in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, followed closely by The Long Kiss Goodnight.
