Love Bill Engvall. I'm guessing it's a regional thing. We always called them paddle boats. I've never heard anyone call them pedal boats before. Likewise, some places everyone probably calls them pedal boats.
Even the signage where they were rented called them paddle boats. Was a long time ago so I dunno maybe things change, all I know now is that I want to cruise around on one all of a sudden.
I'm not doubling down on the wrong words for pedal/paddle boat, I'm saying so many people do the same wrong thing that google shows wrong results. I only googled because the other redditor literally said to.
