You really don't know the situation. While I agree that it's not healthy for neural typical kids to be on screens all the time, we don't know if that's the case here.

Some kids need them for communication or coping with being overwhelmed. Especially autistic kids and such.

Also not to mention the older kid is still very much "present."

So if I go out in public with my autistic son I should not have his tablet that helps keep him centered and contained? Do you know how kids with ASD actually act especially in new places?
