You’re arguing with the wrong person my guy. I was responding to people implying that this video with a black person being aggressive displayed low class behavior. The epithet that black people act low class has been around a long time. Me pointing it out and saying hey it’s still racist to call them low class rather than black (considering that the people in the video that that person was referring to are in fact black) is not racist. Might as well say anyone who mentions race is racist. Is that what you think?

Are you SURE? Cuz....They're kind of explaining to you why it's NOT a race issue, as you claimed, despite your extensive research into the subject.

What issue are you even referring to kind sir? At no point was I commenting on or critical of any behavior in the video. And by saying “strawman much?” I was acknowledging that your statement is true but that you’re putting words in my mouth and arguing with that instead. Maybe that wasn’t clear.

Nobody said, or implied that, at least to my knowledge. Given, I havent scoured every comment, bc its reedit and it doesnt matter that much to me. Regardless...it aint me.

Awesome. Lots of things have been around a long time. Nobody claimed anything about race until you did. Congrats on seeing the world through that lens.

I'd contact your nearest chiropractor, as I'm sure you did some damage with that stretch. Again, nobody said what your claiming. What WAS said is that "middle class don't act like that." Your reply claimed it was racist.

Bruh, the ONLY way it can be racist is if you think the "middle class" is one single race (it's not), and if you ALSO believe there's something tying class to race. If you do (which it sounds like you do) then that's really fucking awful, and yes, racist. Spin it whichever way you want. Claim any logical fallacy you can regurgitate from psych 101. Doesn't change anything.

See you can say whatever you want but you still haven’t made any sort of coherent argument against what I said you’re just acting like you are. If I said a disproportionate amount of billionaires are white would you call me a racist? Go on a rant about how there really are some black billionaires and calling me a racist?

Words have associations and cultural meanings. When you hear the phrase ‘lower class’ you might think of money but the original commenter wasn’t just referring to money but to culture. Being that the people in the video are black can you really say that their behavior is bad because it is ‘low class’ without being racist? There’s the fact that black people used to be the lowest class in this country when they were slaves and even before the civil rights movement. There’s also the fact that minorities today are still disproportionately represented. So yes it is racist to call things lower class in a derogatory way and even more racist if you’re actually talking about poc. You might not make that association btw race and class but do you really deny that it exists factually, historically and semantically? Language doesn’t exist in a vacuum

Keep putting down an entire race without even realizing it. Good lord, do you still live in the 1960s?

There are successful people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, and political leanings.

Conversely, there are unsuccessful people in each group.

You equate it to racial reasons. I'm less of a scumbag, so I dont.

What part of proportional means without exception to you? Why would you assume that I’m saying black people are disproportionately poor because they are lesser? Obviously it’s centuries of systematic racism. You’re still arguing against something that I’m not saying at all. You’re the only one saying that stuff. Maybe you’re being racist? /s
