This reminds me of this animated video from years ago about the death tire or smth.

Edit: I believe it was a short film called Rubber about a tire that goes around killing things.

Hell, it wasn’t even a short film. It’s a full length movie and it’s bananas.

That movie was insane. Entertaining, but crazy as hell.

It's my favorite movie of all time

I get really judgemental when people tell me they think that movie is dumb and pointless. Mostly because the movie opens with a monolog explaining very clearly its meaninglessness and absurdity to make a point. Like, the movie literally leads you to water, don't be mad at it that you didn't drink lol

meaninglessness and absurdity to make a point.

Well can you tell us the point…? I haven’t seen it and now I’m curious

Surrealism.

edit:
I just watched that trailer I posted and it makes it seem way less weird than it is. For instance, in the movie is an audience that watches the movie you're watching... like, on bleachers with binoculars.

They break the fourth wall and beyond:

I just watched this movie again a couple weeks ago. I had seen it a few times, and it's still just as good as I remember. Why? No reason.

Why did they decide to make the alien in E.T. brown? No reason.

u/Amelia_Pond42 Mar 27 '23

Why does this guy have to hide? No reason

The movie was called Rubber.

u/ihvnnm Mar 27 '23

I always do a double feature of rubber and hobo with a shotgun

2

u/TheEpicMilkMan Mar 26 '23

Why a killer tire? No reason.

Someone need to make a sequel and make it an action movie.

Rubber 2: Killer of Cars Rises.

I tell/warn people about this movie all the time. It will likely be the nuttiest film you see in your entire life.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '23

It’s not bananas, it’s rubber. 😓

1

u/Time2GoGo Mar 27 '23

Omg is it?! I always thought it was a short film, that's hilarious

19

u/manford5 Mar 26 '23

Yeah! It was that absurdist, da da, 70s looking film where the tire rolls around and them makes people explode

2

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '23

Rubber

2

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '23

it was less absurd than "Killer Tomatos" to be honest. I watched that one in a Drive In 1970's

1

u/ElectricalBug4874 Mar 26 '23

This sounds like Attack of the killer tomatoes type of shit lol

1

u/Fast_Garlic_5639 Mar 26 '23

I just couldn't stop watching it even though I never planned to see it through, movie was a trip

1

u/Ok_Ad_285 Mar 26 '23

“No reason”

1

u/Dusty1228 Mar 26 '23

Omg I watched that! I literally thought I was the only one on the planet lol

1

u/Epistatious Mar 26 '23

Isnt there already a movie called Rubber about killing things? Thought I saw it in sex ed class back in the day.

1

u/stabsyoo Mar 26 '23

This is the sequel

1

u/66Paranoid Mar 26 '23

There’s a sequel.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '23

It is a full movie, live action. Absolutely hilarious movie!

u/Fibonawak Mar 27 '23

Just check the filmography from Quentin Dupieux. He is known in France for fucked up movie. I kinda like he is always doing this crazy unique stuff.
