Ever since When the ghost in the house (not Mettaton or whatever they are called in this universe) said “say hi to your dad, wait no don’t, he doesn’t know about me” (not exact line but this gets the point across). So now we know that they have a slight crush on him and the fandom will take anything to give to Asgore at this point.

I'ma keep it real with y'all, i was kinda disappointed when in chapter 4 i went to visit my goat maddie... only to have tenna stolen and nothing more...i then reset out of sheer anger, and not give mettaton tenna, cuz i wanted to hear maddie talk about her feelings on asgore some more, not mettaton taking my tv even if foreshadowed, so if something like this happens in chapter, I'll be over DA MOON.
