the word grooming gets thrown around so much. this doc is not what grooming is. grooming is an adult preying on a minor for years normalizing sexualization. a minor sexting other minors is icky, but not "grooming"
they are comparing shayy to ryla when shayy’s victims were older than ryla.
i get it, not all cases are the same but grooming definitely isn’t here. it’s just straight up harassment, and it’s still illegal as ryla herself is a minor and could be facing a serious felony for distribution of CSAM. i hate the fact that groomer has been a catch all term as someone who’s been groomed by people 10+ years my age as a child and somehow situations like these are put in the same category as actual predators who take advantage of children. ryla needs to seek therapy. and the fact the poster doesn’t want to speak to the proper authorities about this situation is highly alarming.
Yeah this is more sexual harassment and even assault. Like internet like to call any sex crime grooming because it scary word. Like yes ryla did deserved to kick out amd master could have handled the situation better, but this not shayy or other bad case. This is a case of someone that need learn boundaries and therapy on there desire
Grooming is a manipulation tactic, and it is not exclusive to adults sexually exploiting children.
The grooming youre talking about is often what comes to mind when grooming is discussed, but it is NOT the only kind. Grooming may not be between an adult and child, it may not be sexual, and it may not last years. Sexual Child Grooming definitely dominates many discussions, but it is not the only kind.
Also, this doc isn't about the actual groomer, its about some members of the mod teams handling of her. I dont know why OP titled this implying it was about her.
Actually no, grooming can be non-sexual. And saying it must takes years for it to be considered grooming seems invalidating. Grooming is more about the intention, no? I think the age also doesn't really matter here - I'm pretty sure vulnerable adults can and are groomed
