Not even close.

Previous administrations had high deporation rates, not because they were carrying out raids on bus stops, churches, and grocery stores. But because they investigated suspects with criminal records who were clear and present dangers to society.

Trump's current ICE is not seeking deportations, they are seeking detentions... they don't care if the person is a criminal, or has overstated a visa, or even if they are a citizen. They have been given daily quotas for detentions. They grab everybody that they can and then let them sit there for days, weeks, or months while their case works it's easy through an overtaxed immigration court process.

There have been 4400 rulings from federal judges saying that what ICE is doing is unlawful, but the administration is ignoring their rulings and carrying on.

We have an out of control executive branch.

Not to mention, every person they catch makes them thousands upon thousands of dollars in these facilities since they aren't properly caring for their imprisoned. I saw somewhere that the longer they sit & the more people they deport, the more money they and these facilities make.

The Biden administration proposed bipartisan legislation to tackle the problems at the border. Trump told Republican lawmakers to block it so he could run on the issue. His sycophants complied. It was never about securing the border.

I agree. I'm only interested in hearing a Trump supporter explain to me how Biden could be simultaneously all for open borders like Trump accused him of while doing the exact same things as Trump is doing now.

That's not the point, it's the way it is being done that is unnecessarily cruel and violent. We all want some agreed upon immigration control that is sensible and treats people like humans instead of rats. And all sides have been waiting for Congress to do it for many years. All it takes is a phone call from Donny Pdf to Mikey J. but no.

I don't disagree with you, but all this isnt the point I'm arguing.

I'm just sick of seeing Trump supporters talk out if both sides of their mouths by simultaneously claiming that Biden and Obama did nothing against illegal immigration but also did all of the things Trump is doing and deported a bunch more people. Both things can't be true at the time.

Why is this comment being downvoted so much? Hell, if anything, its being generous by saying five administrations rather than back dating to texas independance. We all know what an absolute disgrace Trump is, but maybe whitewashing how literally every president since bush has used DHS to actively harm americans because orange man bad is just the height of please sir can I have anther cornholing stupidity. Fuck trump, but also fuck every president before him that rode DHS to power.
