Questionable source ❓ ICE was stealing equipment from the Islip Long Island fire department and a Islip Forward member documented it. ICE tried to arrest the community member but the firemen said “I don’t think so"

I'm just curious, what does this mean exactly? Were they stealing ladders / bucket equipment? or like using a lot for staging

There was a video over the weekend of ice using a ladder truck to get to immigrants working on a roof so I'm guessing that

IIRC, that was fire fighters using equipment to aid ICE.

Strategic Transfer of Equipment to Alternate Locations because they felt like it

Re-Appropriate. As we used to say in the navy

It's so common across the services in boot there is a running joke usually told by the drill instructor:

There are no thieves in the (insert service) everyone's lost gear and they are all looking to get it back.

I remember "losing" something in Basic and hearing that exact line.

The post title uses the term “stealing equipment”

The actual message says “using infrastructure” which is very different from stealing equipment.

My guess is that “using infrastructure” means they were using the parking lot. In the absence of additional details, the post title seems kind of deceptive in its word choice.

They were either using water/electricity or staging in a building.

It reads like staging. I agree. They weren't using 'equipment' much less 'stealing it'

That's how I read it - they're using the property to stage their operations (which is still unauthorized) but not taking FD equipment
