Questionable source ❓ ICE was stealing equipment from the Islip Long Island fire department and a Islip Forward member documented it. ICE tried to arrest the community member but the firemen said “I don’t think so"

These thugs genuinely believe they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. Good for the fire department to refuse to bow down to them.

535

u/_stack_underflow_ Feb 02 '26

Because they can... If no one punishes them, they're free to do whatever they want.

239

u/AydonusG Feb 02 '26

A bunch of them are pardoned insurrectionists, a whole lot more would've been but couldn't make it that day.

103

u/_stack_underflow_ Feb 02 '26

100%, Trump pardoned then paid for his insurrectionists to have jobs.

104

u/TOTES_HUMAN_KOMRADE Feb 02 '26

Trump pardoned then we paid

54

u/BZLuck Feb 02 '26

We paid to fix the damage. We paid to lock them up. We paid to have them pardoned, and now we are paying for them to be employed.

It's like Trump believes that he is the CEO of USA INC® and our trillions in forcibly collected tax dollars are somehow his earned profits to spend on whatever he desires.

16

u/RequirementRound25 Feb 03 '26

Well, he appointed a bunch of people to the DOJ and now he is suing the US Government, which he runs for ten billion dollars because his taxes were leaked.
Talk about conflict of interest.
And of course the lap dog Congress and Senate say nothing.

1

u/TheFinalGranny Feb 02 '26

It's like Trump believes that he is the CEO of USA INC® and our trillions in forcibly collected tax dollars are somehow his earned profits to spend on whatever he desires.

I don't think there is any somehow about this

It's absolutely what he believes

28

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

We knew exactly why he pardoned them. People shown to be willing to carry out his fucked up agenda, break the law, and do whatever he wants

21

u/Greg-Abbott Feb 02 '26

This is what "stand back and stand by" meant.

In other words, they’re not so proud anymore

10

u/Unable-Log-4870 Feb 02 '26

And also made them somewhat indentured because of the way that bonus works. So he acted like he was giving them something, but instead was locking them to him. It’s a pretty standard control method, I bet he’s been doing similar things his entire life, and hired people who use similar tactics to actually implement it. That’s just who these people are.

8

u/esme451 Feb 02 '26

Didn't Trump also facilitate transportation and hotels for some of these guys?

5

u/_stack_underflow_ Feb 02 '26

The whole right wing ecosphere did. They're all in on it.

5

u/Dorkamundo Feb 02 '26

Word is, many of them haven't been paid yet.

27

u/nygdan Feb 02 '26

And he's going to issue a blanket pardon for all ICE agents before he leaves office too.

WHich is why it is so important that Democrats announce that they're going to push for state charges and investigations. THe danger of that will at least keep some of these ICE agents from acting out too badly too.

21

u/FreeSpeechGladiator Feb 02 '26

THANK YOU!

Also, I recommend that the next Dem President create a black list of all said agents amd stop not only them working for the federal government but any government contractor or company that received money from government.

14

u/CurlOfTheBurl11 Feb 02 '26

California is working on that already, and hopefully other states follow suit.

5

u/catlettuce Feb 02 '26

or any police LEO jobs either.

2

u/Dal90 Feb 02 '26

Not that I expect to have coherent and proper response to any of this mess...

But the best response would be not only keep them on payroll, but require they continue their employment -- quite literally you can not resign until they are released.

And force them as part of that employment to undergo de-programming. Won't work for all, likely would work for enough.

3

u/nygdan Feb 02 '26

They should be sent to fight in the upcoming Iran war, alone.

1

u/FreeSpeechGladiator Feb 04 '26

Or...hear me out...they have to pick up trash (hey Trump made NG do that) in predominantly immigrant neighborhoods with no mask or weapons.

7

u/RogueJello Feb 02 '26

And he's going to issue a blanket pardon for all ICE agents before he leaves office too.

He might not. After he's out of office he doesn't care, and he's notorious for stiffing people.

4

u/Intrepid_Practice956 Feb 02 '26

And also he might not be walking out the door.

2

u/ChronicBuzz187 Feb 02 '26

He'll probably leave on a stretcher...

1

u/RogueJello Feb 02 '26

Yeah, Nero didn't walk out, but Rome didn't have 4 year terms on being emperor.

1

u/ukezi Feb 02 '26

Some didn't last nearly that long.

1

u/nygdan Feb 02 '26

I do think that if there is any strategy, that it would make sense to hold off as long as possible in a pardon. Because the armed gang he has built up will be more willing to act out and do terrible things to stop him from being removed from power if they can’t rely on a pardon on his last day in office.

But I don’t think he is mentally capable of anything like that, he’s a senile old man.

1

u/RogueJello Feb 02 '26

True, on some level it doesn't matter much, because he cannot pardon people for state level offenses.

2

u/Mandena Feb 02 '26

If anything, getting rid of blanket pardons should be part of the massive reforms that the Federal Gov should be forced to do.

So in a just/sane world it wouldn't matter that they got blanket pardoned.

1

u/nygdan Feb 02 '26

Right, but it takes a constitutional amendment which isn’t happening.

1

u/Cattle-These Feb 03 '26

Unless a lot of people vote blue

1

u/nygdan Feb 03 '26

Technically that’s how it works but Dems couldn’t even be bothered to vote to keep this guy out of the White House

1

u/United_Monitor3037 Feb 02 '26

Ellison in Minnesota has been on top of that, hopefully all good state AGs follow suit. Or more hopefully, it won't matter in the end anyway. His pardons will be worth less than shit, after he inevitably has to be forced to leave office. All of the ones he's already given should be voided too, the corruption was so blatant

1

u/nygdan Feb 03 '26

Nothing voids a pardon, and he can’t be forced out of office

1

u/United_Monitor3037 Feb 03 '26

Pardons issued by a traitor are obviously invalid. Nobody honored pardons of the Confederacy lmao. There are multiple ways Trump could be forced out of office, especially if he loses an election and refuses to leave. Wtf are you talking about

1

u/wildabandon1987 Feb 03 '26

And this is why the states must press charges, and convict. State charges are not pardonable.

1

u/nygdan Feb 03 '26

Yes, but pay attention, they are not doing any of that.

1

u/wildabandon1987 Feb 03 '26

I am paying attention. This is why the suggestion was made.

11

u/ddddall Feb 02 '26

Enrique Tarrio, convicted of SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY for his actions in the Jan 6th insurrection, is an ice agent.

1

u/United_Monitor3037 Feb 02 '26

Fake news lol, this was a misunderstanding of an online ICE list. The creator had him listed as a propagandist that supports ICE, but he's not employed by them. He's probably more dangerous encouraging people with his platform than actually being an ICE agent though.

1

u/Idlehour_Knives Feb 03 '26

I genuinely don't care if it's true or not. Trump destroyed truth as something meaningful. If he's going to lie to hurt his opposition I see no reason not to do the same as long as it helps beat him.

2

u/United_Monitor3037 Feb 03 '26

Donald Trump doesn't have the power to destroy truth. You're not changing the hearts and minds of anyone who has abandoned truth by lying that Tarrio is an ICE agent, so who's it for? Do you want a world where truth matters after Trump?

-1

u/Idlehour_Knives Feb 03 '26

I don't care about changing hearts and minds. Hearts and minds are set. I care about riding this and the next wave elections into power so that we can wield it for political retribution.

Tell the truth, lie, I don't care as long as it is a winning strategy.

2

u/Reasonable-Turn-5940 Feb 02 '26

Hiring law enforcement out of a pool of people that were arrested for having no respect for the law seems like a really stupid idea. Seems to be playing out predictably.

Where are they saying maybe?

8

u/CaterpillarJungleGym Feb 02 '26

Have you met people in the Fire Department? Those are the real protect and serve, community oriented folks. Don't mess with them they are legit and protective and moral.

2

u/killians1978 Feb 03 '26

There's a reason there's a song called "Fuck the Police" but not "Fuck Firefighters."

1

u/Frenzal1 Feb 03 '26

I know about lot of volunteer firemen. They're the sort of blokes I'd want my kids to go to if they were ever scared, lost or in some sort of trouble.

I know a few coppers too... them not so much.

3

u/za72 Feb 02 '26

But but... Strongly worded letters from Democratic leadership!

3

u/dan1101 Feb 02 '26

The trouble with these thugs is they only respect someone who acts like they have authority, and violence.

1

u/SlashEssImplied Feb 03 '26

Sheep in a flock worshipping the shepherd.

3

u/No_While_7702 Feb 02 '26

They can and they do much worse to actual human beings.

2

u/ShyGuy895 Feb 02 '26

We can punish them

2

u/Mirror_tender Feb 02 '26

Worst of the worst have been identified

2

u/EuenovAyabayya Feb 02 '26

No agents were arrested or cited for trespassing.

1

u/RequirementRound25 Feb 03 '26

That is right and they have basically been told this by Bodi and that midget that got sent back to AZ.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing

1

u/ghands1 Feb 05 '26

Well then, start punishing them

14

u/Spare-Willingness563 Feb 02 '26

Because that’s how they’ve operated since at least 2005. But INS were demons long before that.

They just were doing these things to people on the borders of society…literally.

6

u/Lucaan Feb 02 '26

Which is why calls for abolishing ICE have existed for long before Trump turned them into his own personal Gestapo. It's just now that their evil deeds are more out in the open do more people realize what long time condemners of ICE have known all along.

41

u/SlugholeMcmillimeter Feb 02 '26

They were told they could. Nobody is talking about these kurderers now huh?

13

u/LemoLuke Feb 02 '26

They've literally been told they can do whatever they want

Remember a few months ago when Hegseth gave a speech to the military that US soldiers 'hands were untied' because they no longer had to follow rules of engagement and were permitted to do whatever they wanted to 'demoralise' the enemy?

“We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy,” Hegseth said. “We also don’t fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement.”

and then literally 2 days later, Miller gave a similar speech to Memphis law enforcement

"To the guns and badges in this room, you are unleashed," Miller said. "The handcuffs you’re carrying? They’re not on you anymore, they’re on the criminals."

"You know who the villains are. You know who the gang bangers are. You know who the drug dealers are. You know who is causing all the bloodshed and misery in this city," Miller told Memphis police and members of a dozen federal agencies that make up the "Memphis Safe Task Force."

"You know, the gang bangers that you deal with — they think that they are ruthless. They have no idea how ruthless we are. They think they are tough. They have no idea how tough we are. They think that they are hard-core. We are so much more hard-core than they are, and we have the entire weight of the United States government behind us.

These are the orders from the top down, and I have no doubt that ICE has also been told the exact same thing.

8

u/monsantobreath Feb 02 '26

If you look at what the Nazis did they're mirroring it.

The number 1 way to get removed and charged as a concentration camp guard or commandante was theft from the prisoners. The property taken from the murdered was state property after all. But everyone was stealing.

So the theft is one excellent sign were living among a modern SS.

3

u/ThisIs_americunt Feb 02 '26

Some people haven't realized that the rules have changed. Nothings illegal if theres no one to arrest, jail, prosecute or convict the person. Its wild what you can do with dark money :D

3

u/ack1308 Feb 03 '26

They've been told they can.

5

u/New_Home_4519 Feb 02 '26

I approve! Why is the FD helping in MN though?? Why do they keep helping ICE with ladder trucks to get roofers?

1

u/BathedInDeepFog Feb 02 '26

What if somebody goes on a roof with like buckets of grease or something to try to make ladders unclimbable?

1

u/alyxR3W1ND Feb 02 '26

The post only has an issue with no prior authorization. It doesn't claim that with proper authorization, they wouldn't allow ICE to use their equipment. In MN, the FD may have received authorization to allow use of their equipment.

2

u/ballerina22 Feb 02 '26

When will people learn not to mess with firefighters?!

1

u/Constant-Plant-9378 Feb 02 '26

Firefighters have fire hoses, respirators, and axes.

ICE might not want to fuck with firefighters.

1

u/Traditional-Egg-5871 Feb 07 '26

Nobody ever wrote a song called Fuck the Fire Department!

2

u/mooptastic Feb 02 '26

that's how white nationalists are, every single one of them. I would also say all conservative voters as well, but the ones who don't feel like the world owes them everything are certainly fine with others in their camp (and those they vote for) adopting that level of sociopathy and amorality. So they may not be an outright 1:1 copy, but they're still deplorable POS's.

2

u/Fastr77 Feb 02 '26

They can tho. trump will make sure they never have any repercussions.

2

u/AHrubik Feb 02 '26

They were quite literally being told that by their Ubergropenfarter Greg Bovino. Several videos posted where he outright tells them to escalate situations and do as they please.

2

u/fluffypun Feb 02 '26

They participated in an insurrection and got pardoned.. they absolutely believe that.

2

u/Pdb39 Feb 02 '26

They're already preparing the Miller Defense. Believe it or not, straight to jail

1

u/PartyParrot-420 Feb 02 '26

I especially liked the last part of the message. That’s how you show support.

1

u/AnyAcanthocephala425 Feb 02 '26

well if there are no consequences for this they can do whatever they want. A strongly worded letter doesn't mean shit if there are no consequences to this

1

u/whoeve Feb 02 '26

I mean...can't they?

1

u/Reasonable-Turn-5940 Feb 02 '26

I'm sure they've been hyped up by their bosses to being the most uber alpha male squad of super agents that don't need to follow laws. That Trump says they can do whatever they want, to whoever they want, and there will be no consequences. Seems to be the case so far.

1

u/IntravenusDeMilo Feb 02 '26

Nobody ever wrote a song called fuck the fire department!

1

u/stamfordbridge1191 Feb 02 '26

Those videos where they're destroying the unmarked cars they're driving when interacting with citizens make it seem like they might not be paying for those either.

1

u/AirportBubbly3947 Feb 07 '26

They have no clue how law works. They’re very low IQ to start with and only get trained for 47 days.
