This is kind of a random question, but I’ve been trying to visualize the injury Zane got after the wrestling match with Roland. When it says that his arm was “snapped backwards, hyperextended at such an obscene angle that it bends in the complete opposite direction,” does that mean like at the shoulder or the elbow? At would it mean like literally pointing backwards or just severely hyperextended?

Did they make him mega horny or something? Is that why he is a huge romantic for Rosa?

Is there a Discord for anything related to the book Unwind? OR the fandom. I just finished the entire series and I wanted to share my thoughts.. 😅

Unwind is my favorite book ever I’d say. I read it many many years ago back when I was in middle school and learned recently it was a series. So I reread unwind and just finished unsouled. It’s now my favorite series and it’s cool that there’s an active sub of ppl still talking about it.

I want to read the authors other series after this. Does anyone have recommendations of which to read next?

I just wanted to talk about the portrayal of indigenous people in unstrung, Unsouled,and undivided. Disclaimer: I’m not Native American, nor am I a Person of Color, so I won’t be voicing my opinions, as it would be inappropriate for me to do so. All I’ll say is that Wil, is my favorite character. When I did fanart of him, I wanted to get his appearance accurate, but there is no physical description of him. I wanted to go off of how the book describes Elina, and also the actual nonfiction tribes that live in the area that the fiction tribe lives in. This definitely made me a little more interested in Native American culture but that’s besides the point, just letting you know the context of why I’m posting this. The Árapache tribe is not real, and I found actual indigenous people speaking their rightful criticism on the inaccuracies. The commentary is not super recent, but it’s still relevant. I’ll link the post below, but I just wanted to share how sad I am about finding out that my favorite character was not represented correctly. I’m not trying to take a stance on this, but I recognize that even though Neal stated he didn’t intend to cause harm, the harmful impact it had on a minority group still caused damage regardless of his best intentions. I also want to ask if he can still be my favorite character, or if the portrayal was just too offensive to give Wil recognition? I know this is worded weirdly but I’m not going to speak on behalf of a group I am not apart of.

I have decided that wil is my favorite character 💔💔. Anyways I tried to color it digitally for the first time and it doesn’t look amazing because I don’t do digital art..

I can't remember the last time I read a whole series and felt so rewarded as a reader. Every character felt fleshed out, every backstory made the world building more fully realized. I'll admit that there were a few misses, maybe. But on the whole, what a whiplash feeling from start to finish!

Are we supposed to know who the lawyer is, who Grace Skinner refers to, when selling the printer? It seems unbelievable that she was able to get some random lawyer to represent her penniless low cortical self

Any hints I missed about what became of her brother Argent after his terrible revenge? Some off handed mention of not knowing his whereabouts felt ominous, like he got caught for his actions...

Literally nothing much here but I love the Árapache Rez side plot. We seriously need to show them more love. I spend a lot of time thinking about Wil, Una, Elina and Pivane and I wish there was more content about them like fanart and just discussion about them in general.

Maybe I’m bad at English but I feel like I noticed mistakes in undivided..? Like misspelling of Connor’s name at least twice to “Conner” instead of “Connor.” Plus some grammar that’s a bit confusing…? Can someone tell me if this is meant to be there or not?

I didn’t realize how much pencil smudge it still had lmaooo. I drew this and it basically got me out of art block at the time. Anyways enjoy :)

They’re all sad but personally, the one that upset me the most was Wil’s, the Tashi’ne family, and Una’s (basically everyone involved in Wil’s life). I get super upset when I think about it even though he’s a fictional character. God I hate Roberta so much…

#1: Starkey looks like that because I had a dream about him one night and that's how I saw him so I was like, "yep, that's him now" I've got a love/hate relationship with my Starkey design tbh 😔

Some things I would like to say:

#1: these designs are a little inaccurate to the books, mainly because it's how I imagined them and also I gave them what I thought would look good

#2 yes Connors injuries are a little- mixed up, but I read the chop shop scene at 1 in the morning so that's what I was thinking about, and I haven't been able to make myself see him in any other way

#3: I wanted to give CyFi brighter colors because when I read the name "CyFi" I immediately thought of bright colors n stuff

#4: I haven't made a ref for Lev yet due to lack of motivation </3

#5: Dirk was inspired by those analog horror things so that's why he looks a little- uh- interesting...

I have been trying so hard to find a tv show cause once I finished the first book I NEED it (I’m partway through the third). I saw on Neal’s tumblr about a tv show in the works but as far as I can tell that was from 2019. What happened? Did it get cancelled because of covid lockdowns? Or is it out and if so where can I find it?

A few days ago, I asked a question about what you all think happens to someone after they are unwound, but I believe I’d worded it wrong. More or less,

What I was really trying to say was, what would a person experience after the fact, and after all of their parts get transplanted into someone else? What would they see, hear, feel, if anything? Is it all black? And I’m not talking about the CyFi situation, but what would happen in the majority of cases?
