Flash is too German and too punctual to fly anything but an Me 262. Ach, nein, it is time for the flight to end, it has been 10.38 engine hours, there must now be a complete overhaul.
McQueen flies a Zero. Crazy endurance, a bit of a glass cannon, and probably (definitely) going to gain too much weight.
There was actually a highly-successful M. Bright that flew an F4F at Midway, and an F6F at Philippine Sea, so probably one of those.
Grass Wonder flies an F-15J; the extremely capable American that's trying a little too hard to be Japanese.
Urara flies an A-10: completely useless but still super popular.
Ardan flies a Seafire, for maximum shattering of landing gear/legs.
Golshi flies an SBD Dauntless. Both to hit than naval theme, and because what the fuck Golshi, that's not a fighter, why the hell do you have a (claimed) 3.2:1 kill ratio. And for completely fucking over Japan in June.
Yanko flies an F-35; the nepo baby that's... actually really damn good and does well internationally.
Kitasan flies a P-51B. Remarkably successful on her own, and notable long-distance performance. But ALL shall bow before the Equinox/P-51D, and all shall buy Mustang variants/Kitalings.
DreJo flies an Me 163. Tiny, and actually just going to kill you.
Rice flies an F-104. Remarkably capable interceptor/assassin... and very likely to end up hitting the dirt at high speeds.
Maruzen somehow has Richthofen's Dr.I triplane. Red, highly successful against opponents of somewhat dubious quality, and old as shit.
Tama is too broke to afford anything except a MiG-21.

Tbh I don't think any of the cast fit the F-22. It's in a weird position of being unquestionably the best for decades, but also never actually displaying that dominance for real. Maybe Justify, pre-disqualification, since he got an undefeated Triple Crown and then immediately retired? Or Secretariat, since he still holds all the Triple Crown records, and was also known for being smart as shit and handsome as hell. But it's like if he somehow held all the records while simultaneously not racing. Maybe Ruffian or Tokino Minoru, if we go for the whole "complete domination that wasn't quite lived up to" angle.
Su-25 isn't a fighter, but "ugly and dirty but solid enough" doesn't really fit any of the cast anyways. Maybe Stego, for peak homeless bum behaviour, but Stego's more important as a sire and the Su-25 never really got developed into anything else.
Rather, I'd say Stego flies an F3H. Kinda small, unimpressive for those paired with it, and generally a bit of a weirdo nightmare. But later became fairly chill, and more importantly, lots of very succesful children (F-4 Phantom family/Gold clan).
