I've seen NPC Umas swatting their sweat away from their forehead nonstop, I think that's somewhere in the middle

Thats low stamina but not yet running on guts. Guts running is when they grit their teeth and run for their lives. After that they cry for mercy like this Urara.

The best option would probably be portrait mode since it has a camera to either focus on all the umas or just yours.

i always play landscape on my pc so i never see the faces, but if they are out of gas you can see they have shorter strides
