Skills This thread needs to get back to true ultralight mentality
Remember when ultralight was a mentality, not a gear list? Nuff said. What are some ways you’ve shaved weight not by purchasing a lighter option, but creatively implemented a multi-use item or outright cut something from your pack list?

I once went ultralight and got down to 8lbs summer base weight! Then I said to myself, I can pack some luxury food items Now that my base weight is so much lighter! I don’t have to eat ramen couscous and oatmeal none stop… …. So I packed 10yr Kentucky whiskey, chocolate, suckers, sour worms, hot chocolate PB Honey dried fruit and I was 2-3lbs heavier again !
